Meet The Team
Ashley has been a volunteer with Waves of Impact in Galveston, TX since April 2013. Ashley's years of dedication to our organization and experience leading and serving various non-profit organizations, make her an asset as a foundational team member.
She has been surfing since 2011 and most frequently rides an 8'4" performance SUP. Her favorite memory from volunteering was having the chance to surf with both of her cousins who are quadrapalegic. "Surfing and experiencing the ocean is a blessing that should be shared with everyone. I'm grateful to have the opportunity to share my passion with our youth and veteran campers."

After his honorable discharge, he continued his service, most notably volunteering with Surfers Healing, the original creator of free surf camps for kids with special challenges. 7 years later, he co-founded Waves Of Impact with Josh Harper.
He's proud that Waves Of Impact has spread the joy of surfing to over 4,000 kids and more than 140 wounded veterans.

He first saw the incredible impact the ocean can have while volunteering to surf with children with autism and other special needs. Over the years Josh has helped share his passion of surfing with thousands of kids and hundreds of wounded Veterans who wouldn’t have had the chance to ride on a surfboard without his dedication to making a difference, one wave a a time.
